It's our first Minimalist Monday! Around the internet lately I've seen a trend of people recreating a poster from a movie with a minimalist design approach. A lot of them take an element from the movie and really feature that as the main concept for the poster. Some are very simple and some are very clever and some are so obscure that unless you are a huge fan of the movie you wouldn't get it. I've decided to jump in the mix of this minimalist movie poster trend. As a fun creative project each week I will create a new poster for a movie. Not sure if I will try to stick to new releases or maybe just a movie I happened to watch on Netflix but I'll try and keep them coming each week. I've decided not to title them for now so you can have fun trying to figure it out (I'm sure most will be easy enough).
So first things first. Here is my first minimalist movie poster and is dedicated to my daughter for her birthday, today!
